Positive behaviour for success

Our values are respect, responsibility and safety.

Positive Behaviour for Success (PBS) is a school systems approach to enhance the capacity of schools to teach and succeed with all students. It is a process for developing whole school and individualised approaches to promoting positive behaviour to maximise learning engagement.

Our mission statement

Waniora Public School strives to provide a safe environment where teaching and learning is relevant, challenging and promotes respect and responsibility. The school motto is 'Caring, Sharing, Daring'. Our students need to be individuals who care for themselves, others and their environment. They need to share their knowledge, friendship and learning with others. They need to dare to be different, to try new things and to have high standards.

Reward system

The school's behaviour matrix is the central framework for the teaching of expected behaviours in non-classroom settings. Our PBL reward system enables children’s efforts to be recognised publically in a positive manner. They move through a series of playground and classroom rewards, both as individuals and as a whole school group with our Wani Winner tickets and whole school rewards

Waniora Anti-bullying Plan

This plan outlines the processes for preventing and responding to student bullying in our school and reflects the Bullying: Preventing and Responding to Student Bullying in Schools Policy of the New South Wales Department of Education.

This policy has been prepared in consultation with parents, students and staff. A review of the policy will occur every three years in conjunction with the School Planning Process.
