Curriculum overview
Stage 3 classes will engage in a variety of activities covering the areas of English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Physical Education, Health and Personal Development and Creative and Practical Arts. Technology is embedded across all learning areas where appropriate. Stage 3 students have the opportunity to participate in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative to support their learning within the classroom.
Excursions
Stage 3 run a 2 year cycle for excursions:
Even years we have a 3 day camp at Berry Sport and Recreation Camp in Term 1.
In odd years Stage 3 visit Canberra for a 3 day excursion to support our unit of work on Government.
Other excursions will relate to units of work being studied by the children and will be conducted throughout the year.
Transition to High School
Throughout Stage 3 there are a variety of activities that the students undertake to prepare them for their move to high school. These include:
- Bulli High School coaching program
- orientation days
- Year 5 Adventure Program
- High school timetable - where students experience what it is like to move to different classes for different subject areas.
