Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

The school canteen is operated by the Waniora P&C Committee, which employs a Canteen Manager to oversee the day to day running of the canteen.

The canteen provides a variety of lunch and snack options including delicious house-made meals such as pastas, pizzas, salads, sandwiches and freshly made quesadillas.

The canteen requires volunteers to operate. Volunteering in the canteen is a fun and active few hours. You will be provided with lots of training and there’s usually time to stop and have a cuppa. More importantly, the students love seeing their loved ones in the canteen. It’s possibly the highlight of their day!

If you would like to discuss volunteering, or provide feedback on your experience with the canteen, please visit the canteen in person or you can contact our Canteen Manager via email at wanioracanteen@gmail.com.

Canteen orders can be placed at the canteen (Eftpos available) or online at My School Connect

The school canteen is open Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays, offering lunch orders and over-the-counter service during lunch and recess.

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.
